WATCH: Ravi Bishnoi and Swapnil Singh collide in order to save a boundary during LSG vs MI match; escape serious injuries

The ongoing match between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians saw another bizarre incident as two players from the home side met with a collision. In the ninth over of the MI innings, the on-strike batter in Ishan Kishan smashed LSG skipper Krunal over the leg-side of the boundary.

 

Spinner Ravi Bishnoi and Swapnil Singh came from their respective positions in order to try and save a boundary but met with an on-field collision in the process. However, both escaped some serious injuries with the ball going for a four.

Talking about the match, Mumbai Indians earlier won the toss and invited the Krunal Pandya-led side to bat first. On the back of Marcus Stoinis’ unbeaten knock of 89 off 47 deliveries and a well supported knock from the skipper, the Lucknow Super Giants posted 177/3 in the 20 overs. However, the Lucknow bowlers, carried the momentum from there on as they went on to restrict the visitors at 172 in the 20 overs, thus winning the match by five runs.

 

With this win, the LSG went to the third place, replacing MI in the points table. Meanwhile, MI now occupy the fourth place with 14 points from 13 matches.
