In the match 29 of Indian Premier League 2023 played between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Ravindra Jadeja clashed with Henirich Klaasen for not letting him take the catch of Mayank Agarwal in his follow through. The incident happened on the first ball of the 14th over when SRH were struggling at 91/4 against CSK at the M.A. Chidambaram in Chennai.

Ravindra Jadeja bowled a fuller delivery to Mayank Agarwal, who tried to tuck it away to the leg side but got the leading edge of the bat. The ball spooned in the air towards the right of the CSK bowler and he proceeded to take the catch. But just as Jadeja was about to grab hold of the ball, the non-striker Heinrich Klaasen, who was trying to avoid the ball’s trajectory himself, got in his way. It led to both players colliding with each other as the catch went down.

The immediate reaction of Ravindra Jadeja was of sheer anger towards Heinrich Klaasen as he felt that the SRH batter came in his way of taking the catch. Klaasen did raise his hand in apology to Jadeja but the CSK all-rounder was having none of it. He stared at him intensely and hurled, quite possibly, a couple of expletives at him.

In the same over, Jadeja did get the wicket of Mayank Agarwal by getting him stumped, all thanks to the fast hands of MS Dhoni. He eventually finished his spell with figures of 3/22 to help Chennai Super Kings restrict Sunrisers Hyderabad to a paltry total of 134/7.
