Ravindra Jadeja is one of the top-notch all-rounders in world cricket and is widely regarded as the go-to man for his skipper in any game format. While he delivered a stellar performance with the bat in the 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka on Saturday, he treated his fans by sharing a special anecdote related to his unique hairstyle where he carved in 'CSK' on his head during his maiden season with the franchise in 2012.

Notably, In a video shared on CSK's official website, Ravindra Jadeja shared that he and Suresh Raina went to get a new haircut, where the latter suggested he should write CSK on his head as a tribute to the Chennai franchise. As Jadeja is celebrating his tenth franchise in Yellow jersey, he revealed a special anecdote on CSK's official website. Jadeja said, "Raina bhai finished his hairstyle before me while I was still wondering about what to do with my hair."

Adding further, he shared that Raina suggested that he should do something special. "Okay, I have an idea. Put your name on your head.' I said, 'No, no, no! That's not gonna work. That looks funny. So he said, I have one more idea, get a name of CSK on your head as a tribute," he explained the reason behind him getting that unique hairstyle in 2011, which immediately became talk of the town.

Notably, Jadeja was bought by MS Dhoni-led side in 2012 in a $2 million tie-breaker at the auction. He joined the Chennai franchise after he was banned for IPL 2011 for negotiating larger financial deals with other franchises and not signing a new deal with Rajasthan Royals, for whom he played from 2008 to 2010. The southpaw has had great success with the franchise, winning two IPL titles in 2018 and 2021. Ravindra Jadeja was amongst four retained players by the Chennai franchise before IPL auction 2022 for a whopping Rs. 16 crores, while Suresh Raina went unsold.
