The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are all prepped up to take on the five-time champions Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 opening game on Friday. Not only has their captain Virat Kohli said that this is the most exciting and intense clash to begin the proceedings, even the fan wars between two most popular franchises of the T20 tournament have commenced. To add to the zeal and motivation of the side, RCB have even released a new inspiring anthem.

Although the song remains much like the anthem released last year, the video has been modified and features new entrants including Glenn Maxwell. The song has lyrics in Kannada, Hindi as well as English to cater to the cosmopolitan nature of the city.

Meanwhile, sources close to the development have revealed the four overseas players that RCB are going ahead with in the first game. While AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell were almost automatic selections, Dan Christian and Kyle Jamieson are likely to find a place in the XI against Mumbai Indians. In addition, Devdutt Padikkal has recovered from COVID-19 and is likely to open the batting along with Virat Kohli.
