The last league game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals kicked off with an exciting start with the Delhi openers smashing 88 runs together in the first 10 overs. Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan have been phenomenal in the ongoing season of IPL, being the top two scorers for the franchise. The two were playing remarkably in the first half of the innings, which set the stage for a high scoring game, before RCB’s star bowler Harshal Patel dismissed Shikhar Dhawan on the first ball of the 11th over.

Delhi’s batting still looked stable given Prithvi Shaw’s stunning performance in the middle overs. However the 21-year-old was dismissed by a fabulous catch by George Carton at sweep cover. Shaw fell on 48 off 31 balls.

Garton’s juggling catch gives a much-needed breakthrough

Prithvi Shaw gave a good start to Delhi’s innings and was nearing his 50 in the 12th over before he fell prey to George Garton’s extraordinary catch. The Delhi opener tossed up Yuzvendra Chahal’s delivery to the extra cover, where George Garton took a juggling catch to dismiss the batsman. The umpires were unsure and referred to the third umpire whether it was a clean catch, and the decision fell in the favour of Bangalore with Prithvi Shaw retuning to the pavilion.
