There is little doubt that Manchester United's star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is going through tough times in his personal space after the unexpected demise of his newborn baby boy. Although, Ronaldo has kept surprising everyone with his on-field brilliance as he recently scored an equalizer to cancel out Marcos Alonso's opener against dominant Chelsea in their 1-1 Premier League draw at Old Trafford on Thursday.
Now, in a fresh video doing the rounds on social media, Real Madrid fans can be seen paying special tribute to their record goalscorer by chanting his name during a game against Espanyol. As the clock hit the seventh minute, Real fans burst into chants of Ronaldo's name with the time marking his iconic shirt number at the Bernabeu.
Ronaldo remains much-loved and admired figure in the Spanish capital due to his exploits with the club between 2009 and 2018. Ronaldo scored 450 goals in just 438 games for the club, winning two titles and four Champions Leagues. Despite his shocking exit to Juventus in 2018, Ronaldo remains a popular figure at the club and fans chanting his name during a game is a testimony of the same.
Earlier today, he posted a heartwarming picture of himself holding his baby daughter, the twin of the boy who passed away. The picture showed Ronaldo staring lovingly at his daughter while cradling her in his arms, along with the caption: "Forever Love." The 37-year-old United forward confirmed his heartbreaking personal news on April 18, on behalf of himself and his partner Georgina Rodriguez by posting a note on social media.
Ronaldo wrote, "It is with our deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our baby boy. It's the greatest pain any parent can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness."
Ronaldo thanked the doctors and medical staff for all their expert care and support. "We are all devastated at this loss, and we kindly ask for privacy at this challenging time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you. Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez.," he concluded.
