The Indian team has started preparations for the much awaited Test series in England starting on June 20. It will be a start of a new era with Shubman Gill taking charge as captain with wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant getting appointed as his deputy. Ahead of the Test series, Pant announced his arrival in England during the practice session in London.

During the practice session, Rishabh Pant smashed Washington Sundar for a huge six by standing down on one knee. Eventually, Pant’s six ended up breaking the roof of the stadium upon landing. Pant didn’t have a great outing the recently ended IPL 2025 for Lucknow Super Giants but ended up getting a hundred in his last match of the season. Now, he will be looking to have a memorable outing in the England series.

India aim series win in England after 17 years

After the end of IPL 2025, the Indian team is now set to take on the longest format as they will face England for the five-match Test series in England starting on June 20. India last won a Test series in England in 2007 and will be looking to get another win after 17 years under Shubman Gill’s leadership. The series will take place in cities like Leeds, Birmingham, London and Manchester. The final Test of the series will take place at the Oval from July 31 to August 4.
