India batter Riyan Parag’s viral YouTube search history had sparked massive controversy on social media last year. The incident unfolded just days after he finished his campaign with Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024. After achieving rousing success in IPL 2024, where he scored 573 runs in 14 innings at an average of 52.09, Parag went on to make his India debut in the tour of Zimbabwe.

In between this time, Parag grabbed several eyeballs, where leaks showed terms like “Ananya Pandey hot” and Sara Ali Khan hot” in his YouTube search history. However, it was a topic of discussion then, the promising Indian batter in an interview recently broke silence on the same.

Oh s**t! This happened: Riyan Parag breaks silence on viral YouTube search history leak

Speaking to City1016 Radio during an interview, Riyan Parag recalled that it all actually happened before the IPL but his solid performance in the cash-rich league last year saw the topic resurface on social media. "I finished the IPL, we were in Chennai, finished the match, got on a Discord call with my streaming team, and it got publicised now, but it happened before the IPL,” Parag said.

“One of the people in my Discord team tried to set me up before the IPL, but that got taken down very quickly. But then after the IPL, the hype was there, and I had a good season. I came and opened my stream, I didn't have Spotify or Apple Music. Everything was deleted," the Assam cricketer further added. "So I went on YouTube to put on music, and I searched for music. But I didn't know what was happening, but once I did the stream ended, I was like Oh s**t! This happened. It just got blown out of proportion. I didn't think it was good enough a reason for me to go out publicly and clarify everything and no one would understand," he added.
