The match no. 47 of IPL 2021 was undoubtedly one of the most entertaining ones for the fans, especially considering the matches in UAE leg. Amid some low-scoring encounters, everyone got to witness a lot of action and drama with some explosive power-hitting on display. From Gaikwad's finesse to Dube's masterclass, it was indeed a brilliant day of cricket.

However, apart from all the mesmerizing moments on the field, there was one extremely funny incident as well which caught everyone's attention. It was the 17th over of RR innings and the match was almost done and dusted. The Men in Pink were cruising towards the target and with so much tension around, Sam Curran produced the funniest moment of contest.

Ball slips off Sam Curran's hand

On the 2nd delivery of his over, the ball slipped off Sam Curran's hand and went high up in the air. Although it was definitely a no-ball, batsman Glenn Phillips wanted to capitalize more on the situation as he chased after the ball in an attempt to hit a boundary. It was a hilarious sequence of events as even the on-air commentators burst out in laughter. Unfortunately, the ball was way beyond the reach of RR batsman and he had to settle with just a no-ball.

Phillips got his moment on the next delivery, which was a free-hit. The right-handed batsman played an extravagant shot towards extra-cover as the ball sailed past the boundary, handing the Kiwi cricketer his first IPL runs. He ended the match on 14* off 8 as RR chased down the 190-run target in 17.3 overs. On the other hand, it was a forgettable evening for Curran who registered figures of 0/55 in 4 overs.
