Sanju Samson has been having an inconsistent outing as a batter so far in the IPL as he has failed to convert his starts into big scores, despite scoring runs at a commanding strike rate of around 160. Ahead of RR's fixture against CSK, a  funny incident took place during the Royals’ practice session at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium when the RR skipper interacted with the fans.

After losing their previous two matches in the IPL 2023, Rajasthan Royals are scheduled to host Chennai Super Kings at the SMS stadium in Jaipur on Thursday in the hope to return to winning ways.

During RR's practice session, a rare incident happened when a fan’s phone rang while Samson was clicking a selfie with the phone. He was quick to see the incoming call and said, "Call aa raha hai" (Someone is calling) and picked up the call after some prompting by the excited fans. Upon picking up the call, he set it to speaker mode and said, "Haan bhaiya kya haal hai" (Hello brother, how are you?) to the person who was calling on the phone.

This hilarious interaction by Sanju received a loud cheer from the fans. It was heartwarming to see Sanju Samson interacting with the fans so freely. A similar incident happened to Aussie cricketer Tim Paine when he was attending a press conference and the phone rang which belonged to the journalist.
