The third edition of the Major League Cricket (MLC) is underway in the USA and in match number 20 of the ongoing tournament, which was played between LA Knight Riders and Seattle Orcas, a bizarre moment prevailed. In the second innings of the match when LA Knight Riders were defending 202 runs, Jason Holder produced a peach of a delivery in his third over.

The moment came in the 12th over of the Seattle Orcas innings. Bowling the first delivery of the over, LA Knight Riders’ Jason Holder bowled a fuller-length that hit Shayan Jahangir’s off stump. Just as the ball kissed the stumps, the bails moved but refused get dislodge, leaving everyone in surprise.

However, the incident not only bought a sigh of relief to the Orcas batter, everyone on the ground was left stunned, forcing Holder to take a referral of an LWB. The West Indies all-rounder was thereafter denied of the wicket, but Jahangir was removed in the very next over, which was bowled by Tanvir Sangha.

Jahangir, during his 31-ball stay stitched a crucial 119-run partnership with Aaron Jones. After Jahangir was dismissed, Shimron Hetmyer smashed 64* off 26 balls, including four fours and six sixes and helped the Orcas chase the 203-run target in 19.5 overs.

The win was second for the Sikandar Raza-led side after their previous coming in their last match against MI New York. With back-to-back wins, the Orcas are placed fourth in the standings with two wins and five defeats in seven games. They will next take on San Francisco Unicorns in match 22 of the MLC 2025 on July 2 (IST) at te Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill in Florida.
