The table-toppers and defending champions Gujarat Titans continued their winning run in the tournament as they beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets. Having already qualified for the IPL 2023 Playoffs, the Hardik Pandya-led side ended RCB’s hope to enter the Playoffs, courtesy Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 104 off 52 deliveries.
The India and GT opener went on to smash his second consecutive century in the ongoing edition and won the game with a six over long-on region. The 23-year-old celebrated this century and his team’s win with his usual celebration with a bow towards his side as well as the fans.

Talking of the match, the Gujarat Titans won the toss and invited the Faf du Plessis-led side to bat first. On the back of an unbeaten century from former RCB skipper Virat Kohli, the side posted 197/5 in the 20 overs. However, this crucial knock from the RCB mainstay went in vain as the side failed to restrict the Gujarat Titans. On the back of a century knock from Gill and an all-important knock from Vijay Shankar, the GT chased the total with five balls to spare.
