The T20 format has become synonymous with nail-biting finishes. The format has not just upgraded the standard of the game but brought some of the most mouth-watering results for the spectators. Due to unpredictability which comes with the shortest format of the game, not just players but even spectators fail to hold their nerves and at times express it in an unusual manner.
An unprecedented sight appeared during the match between Lancashire and Yorkshire in Vitality T20 Blast. The two traditional rivals in English domestic cricket didn't fail to produce a nail-biting finish as the game headed into the final over. Yorkshire needed 17 runs off the final over, with two wickets in hand. For Yorkshire, Dominic Drakes and Matthew Revis were up against right-arm medium Danny Lamb.
Revis being on strike took the responsibility and struck two doubles, a six off the third ball and a single off the fourth ball of the over respectively. Danny Lamb conceded a wide and pulled off one dot to bring the equation down to five off the last ball.
The right-arm pacer held his nerve on the final delivery of the game and bowled the full ball from round the wicket wide outside off. Drakes who was on strike slashed the ball towards the deep backward point region. The ball got the perfect trajectory and looked as if it got the much-needed acceleration for a maximum, and Matthew Revis present at the non-striker end anticipating a six started celebrating the win.
But, Tom Hartley judged the ball perfectly and held onto a match-winning catch just within the playing field. However, before Hartley took the stunning catch, an anonymous spectator, supposedly Yorkshire fan, threw a bottle at a nearby fielder attempting to disturb his attention on the ball.

Speaking of the match, Adam Lyth (38 off 19) and Tom Kohler-Cadmore (77 off 43) stitched a crucial partnership to set the perfect foundation for the run chase. Meanwhile, skipper David Willey scored 52 off 28, but lack of support in the middle-order helped Lancashire to crawl back into the game.
Lancashire currently top the North Group points table with six wins and a tie from seven games, while Yorkshire is at fourth with three wins and as many defeats.
