T he Kick Sauber Stake F1 team have unveiled their car, the C44, for the 2024 season. The new car sports was unveiled at an entertaining event at London’s Guildhall with an eye-popping new fluorescent green and black livery. The event included several members of the Stake F1 team including the two drivers - Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.

Ahead of the 2024 F1 season, the Sauber-run team was renamed to Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber after parting ways with Italian title sponsor Alfa Romeo. With the partnership came some seismic changes, especially to livery which changed from the Alfa Romeo red to the new fluorescent green and black.

Talking about the technical changes in the car, the Stake F1 team revealed that the C44 will move from push-rod to pull-rod suspension. The 2024 car also has revised side pods and engine cover plus a new floor, something that has a massive impact on the pure lap time.

Speaking about the potential of the car and the 2024 season, Valtteri Bottas had a positive response. Speaking at the event, the Finnish driver said: “The new C44 definitely feels different, both in terms of looks and of what we can expect from the car. We need to perform as a team and extract the most out of this package, which has some impressive potential – nothing else matters. Personally speaking, going into third season together with a team, the objectives need to be lofty."
"My own expectations are high, we definitely need to make a good step and see good progress from last year, a season in which, in all honesty, we didn't meet the targets that we set for ourselves. We need to fix that now, we need to step up our game and do better, but I have seen some real enthusiasm back in Hinwil and I am confident we can do it."
