In the all-women’s Premium Live Event (PLE) called WWE Evolution, Stephanie Vaquer, the La Primera, won the Battle Royal at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, to earn herself a title match at Clash in Paris next month. Widely heralded as one of the brightest young talents in the pro-wrestling industry, Stephanie Vaquer arrived to the main roster of the WWE just a few months ago, and in a short period, she finds herself one step away from winning a singles championship.
The Evolution Battle Royal showcased the women’s superstars of the past, present, and the future, battling each other to have a shot at the title in front of a capacity crowd. The rule of the Battle Royal is to throw your opponent over the top rope with both their feet hitting the floor for an elimination, but it is easier said than done, especially with the ring filled with superstars, which was the case in the early goings at WWE Evolution.
WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella made her way to a rousing reception from the fans before the match got underway, and it had a lot of thrills and spills. After Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley were eliminated early, Nia Jax blasted Kelani Jordan over the top rope onto them before she surfed off of them to find herself on the announce desk without her feet touching the floor.
Moments later, Kelani Jordan walked on her hands on the floor, to make her way inside the ring before fighting her way back in the reckoning in the Evolution Battle Royal. In some of the biggest eliminations from the contest, Jaida Parker eliminated Natalya before getting the rid of Maxxine Dupri as well, while Kelani Jordan got thrown out eventually by Candice LeRae.
Stephanie Vaquer won the Evolution Battle Royal after eliminating Lash Legend
In the latter stages of the match, Stephanie Vaquer hit the Devil’s Kiss on Chelsea Green before eliminating her, and moments later, Lash Legend blasted Nikki Bella out of the ring with a boot to the shock of everyone at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. With that, Stephanie Vaquer, Lash Legend, and Nia Jax were the final three participants in the Evolution Battle Royal before Vaquer and Legend worked together to take out Jax.
Another Devil’s Kiss from Stephanie Vaquer, this time to Lash Legend on the apron, led to the latter getting eliminated, which meant that La Primera won the Evolution Battle Royal, punching her ticket to Clash in Paris.
