The ongoing 3rd Test at Karachi Stadium saw former Australian skipper Steve Smith in action quite early on Day 1 of the final Test. As Warner (7 off 13) and Marnus Labuschagne (o off 2) were dismissed early on after fierce bowling from Shaheen Afridi, Smith was on the crease in the 3rd over of the first innings and took things under control alongside Usman Khawaja. While Smith appeared to be in a good zone as he played some classic cover drives, he lost his cool over the movement of the camera rover on the sidelines.

The number 3 batter in Test rankings was seen shouting at the cameraman who was handling the camera rover at deep mid-wicket as it was disturbing the batter's composure during the game. However, the movement of the camera rover as the ball is being delivered is quite a normal thing in the game of cricket as it is usually stationed too deep and wide of behind the bowler, but Smith picked it up and furiously gestured towards the man controlling the rover.

Smith's gesture left commentators in splits as Rob Key and Urooj Mumtaz were amused with Smith's vision which caught the action 100 yards away. Key said, "Extraordinary. How he's seen that. It's on the boundary at deep mid-wicket, and he is quite angry over that. It's a good 100 yards away." Even Urooj Mumtaj agreed to Key as she said, "Steve Smith has the best peripheral vision on the planet."

Former Australia opener Simon Katich, who was also part of the panel, said that the moment would certainly play in repeat mode in the dressing room as players will get a lot of humour out of it. "Rest of his teammates will laugh over that," he said.

Speaking of the match, Smith* (28 off 69) and Usman Khawaja (31 off 64) have steadied the innings for their side and played mature knocks after two early blows on Day 1 of the 3rd Test. At present, Australia's score reads 70-2 in 24 overs.
