India’s hopes in the third Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2022-23 hanging by a thread as the team’s best batter in the innings was dismissed by Nathan Lyon. But it was more Steve Smith’s wicket because of the catch he took. The Australia captain grabbed an absolute blinder while fielding at leg slip.
As Pujara tried to nudge away an incoming delivery towards fine leg, he could not keep his shot grounded. The ball was in the air for a while and was travelling with decent timing on the shot. However, S mith came in its way as he lunged his right hand to pluck the ball with sheer ease. It was one of the best reflex catches taken.
