Team India returned to their winning ways after the South Africa hiccup as they beat Bangladesh by five runs in a rain-curtailed game. After posting 184/6 in their 20 overs, India restricted Bangladesh to 146/5 (DLS target 151) to bring their third win in the tournament. The Men in Blue now stand at the brink of qualification for the semifinals.

Although India was expected to beat Bangladesh, it was not an easy task for the Rohit Sharma-led team. The Tigers came roaring at the Indians as the opening pair of Litton Das and Najmul Shanto got off to a flyer. The two batters put together 60 runs in the first six overs with Das leading the charge.

The right-handed batter looked in no mood to hold back as he smashed a 21-ball half-century. Das continued the assault and was looking to score as many runs as possible. However, rain spoiled his plans. The match was halted for quite a while and when it resumed, Bangladesh was required to score 151 runs in 16 overs. The break worked for India as they got rid of Litton Das right after the play resumed.

Shanto and Shakib Al Hasan tried to take the attack to India, but the Men in Blue looked determined to win the game. Soon, Shanto was also dismissed with Suryakumar holding on to a low catch at long-on. With wickets coming in quick succession, Indian fans were feeling the nerves with oohs and aahs coming from the stands. Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav was seen asking the crowd to cheer for the team.

Yadav was seen pointing to the INDIA text on his jersey and then putting his hands behind his ears, indicating he could not hear the chants. The video has now gone viral on the internet from this mome nt.
