Mumbai Indians' star batter Suryakumar Yadav completed his first century in IPL history against Gujarat Titans. Coming at number three, SKY continued the batting onslaught started by Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan at the score of 66-2 in 6.5 overs.

As he walked into the middle, Suryakumar Yadav took his time as Nehal Wadhera took care of the hitting responsibility. But after  Wadhera's SKY took control and scored runs in every nook and corner of the Wankhede Stadium. As Surya completed his incredible ton with 11 fours and six sixes many Gujarat Titans' players appreciated this brilliant performance and embraced Suryakumar Yadav.

In the mid-innings interview, GT star Rashid Khan had some praiseful words for Suryakumar Yadav and described his knock as ' unbelievable'. Khan also picked up the purple cap for his tally of 23 wickets in 12 matches after another incredible spell of 4-30 in his four overs.

He said, "Good wicket to bat on. We have seen 200+ have been chased here, but SKY was unbelievable. It is hard to bowl to him and some of the shots he played were unbelievable. It is a good track and we should go (into the chase) with a positive mindset. I have bowled here before and the only thing different was the length, need to keep mixing it up and not make it easy for the batters. Dew was there and it was getting more and more, it was a little bit hard to grip the ball in my last over."
