India’s star batter Suryakumar Yadav is enjoying his time off the ground as the Maharashtra cricketer was seen playing his favourite ‘supla shot’ on the streets of Mumbai. Yadav is a part of the Test squad for the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 but he played only in the first Test in Nagpur. Since then, Shreyas Iyer has taken his place back and has been playing at No.5 for India. Meanwhile, Surya seems to be enjoying his time off.
In a video shared by his India Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians (MI), SKY is seen playing tennis-ball cricket with young boys on the streets of the city. The batter then plays a paddle scoop which is also called the ‘supla shot’ in the local language.

Notably, as Surya is set to miss the fourth Test too with Shreyas Iyer all set to take up his usual slot in the playing XI, the 32-year-old will be seen in action in the ODI series which is set to take place after the fourth Test. However, it is to be seen of SKY will get a place in the Playing XI there too with KL Rahul slotted at No.5 and Shreyas Iyer also back.
There are chances that SKY plays in the first ODI as Rohit Sharma will not be available for the game due to personal reasons. But that too can be ruled out if Ishan Kishan opens the innings with Shubman Gill and Rahul bats in the middle order.
