On Sunday, December 3, Tiger Woods pulled up to the final day of the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas in a leg sleeve made famous by the NBA legend Michael Jordan. On his return to the sport after six months, the 47-year-old claimed 18th place in a 20-man field at the Albany Golf Club with level par card.

Hero World Challenge was the first golf competition for the American Tiger Woods after he withdrew his name from the Masters at the Augusta National Golf Club this past April. The 15-time major champion had a problem in his right ankle for which he had a subtalar fusion surgery to take care of post-traumatic arthritis, which happened because of the single-car accident endured in February 2021.

Tiger Woods finished 20 strokes behind Hero World Challenge winner Scottie Scheffler
Scottie Scheffler, the World No. 1 American golfer, won the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas with 20 under par card, ahead of the Austrian Sepp Straka by three strokes. Tiger Woods, who hosted the Hero World Challenge, got a level par card to finish a whopping 20 strokes behind the eventual tournament winner.
After finishing off his day’s work at the Albany Golf Club, Tiger Woods talked about having some fun while competing at the tournament and said, “I think I've come a long way. From being a little bit rusty to playing four days and knocked off a lot of rust which was great, and just the physicality of actually playing and competing again - I haven't done this in a while. It was nice to get out here with the guys, have some fun and compete. I wish I would have played a little cleaner but there's always next time.”
