In a big cross-promotional moment from the sports entertainment world, UFC fighter Michael Chandler called out Conor McGregor on the latest episode of WWE Raw from the Honda Center in Anaheim. Michael Chandler cut an intense promo in front of a capacity crowd, talking about some unfinished business with Conor McGregor, which he wants to settle inside the octagon.
Over the last year or so, the Michael Chandler versus Conor McGregor fight has been teased time and time again, but it is yet to be booked by the UFC. McGregor, who is yet to compete inside the octagon after suffering a broken leg inside the octagon in 2021, was pitted against Chandler in The Ultimate Fighter reality television show, both serving as coaches in the 31st season, and since then, they are going back-and-forth about a potential fight down the road.
After WWE and UFC merged under the TKO banner last year, the fans got to see a first-hand example of the cross-promotional exercise when Michael Chandler showed up on Monday Night Raw. He was also given the opportunity to grab a live microphone, which led to him yelling, “What’s up, Anaheim? You are now in the presence of the most entertaining UFC fighter on the planet.”
Then, Michael Chandler proceeded to talk about Conor McGregor and their potential fight at the Honda Center. He remarked, “Hey, now there’s a man from Ireland who’s been making me wait way too long and I still have got one dude on my mind. Conor McGregor, get your candy ass back to the octagon. We’ve got some unfinished business, boys. God bless. I’ll see you at the top.”
The UFC President Dana White recently shared his thoughts about when Conor McGregor would fight inside the octagon and said, “I don’t know. Conor McGregor’s got a lot of money. Any time we get Conor, we’ll be happy. You know, we’ll be thrilled when he comes and fights. Money complicates a lot of things. He just filmed a movie. He’s got to do the press for the movie, and he’s got obligations with that. He does want to fight this year, but we’ll see what happens.”
