Continuing this carnage with that bat, the Indian national team captain decided to take on  Suyash Sharma and smashed the young leggie for a glorious six. Then on the fifth ball of the over, Sharma punched a fullish ball towards mid-on where Umesh Yadav was stationed.

As the Vidharba pacer spotted the ball, he made goal-keeper-style dive towards his left and completed an athletic catch. Rohit departing at a score of 20 was surprised by the effort and was spotted laughing as he walked back.

But the catch wasn't enough for the Kolkata Knight Riders as MI batters blasted through the KKR bowling attack registering a five-wicket win. India batter Suryakumar Yadav was the star performer for the five-time champs as he scored a brilliant 43 in 25 balls with four fours and three sixes.

Reacting to the loss, Kolkata captain Nitish Rana felt bad for Venkatesh Iyer, who scored a magnificent century in the first innings. He said, " I think we were 15-20 runs short. Credit to PC bhai (Piyush Chawla) for the way he bowled. Feel bad for Venky, he scored a hundred, played so well but finished on the losing side. The whole team knows this was the second hundred for a player from KKR. Other players from our side will also score hundreds going forward."
