In the ever-evolving sport of cricket, there is one aspect of the game which has become quite popular i.e. umpiring. Due to social media, stump mics and DRS, the officials often find themselves in the middle of any controversy or action these days. There is no doubt that it is one of the most demanding professions as it requires a lot of concentration and focus. But the umpires have also started to enjoy themselves in modern cricket.

Billy Bowden was one such official who changed the image of umpires in front of the whole world. The Kiwi official got popular because of his unorthodox way of signalling, with his "crooked finger of doom" out signal one of the most famous ones. And it seems like, India have finally produced their own version of Billy Bowden, who isn't just an umpire but also a gymnast.

Have you ever seen something like this on cricket field?

In Maharashtra's Purandar Premier League 2021, when a bowler bowled a wide delivery, the umpire left everyone in splits with his extremely unique way of signalling. Contrary to the normal way of giving the 'wide' decision by stretching the arms, the umpire did something extremely outrageous. He turned back, performed a headstand and stretched his legs instead to make the signal.

The players on the field were also captured laughing as it was something that was probably happening on the field of cricket for first time ever. "Ye kya kar diya! Ye wide ka style dekhiye, ye bhi kamaal kar rahe hai, inka bhi naya andaaz hai, " the commentators said while describing the incident.

The umpire eventually made sure that he would get up and make the wide signal with his hands as well so that everyone gets to know what the decision was. The hilarious video has already got more than 55k views and is constantly doing the rounds on social media.
