The Indian team is gearing up for the 2022 T20 World Cup as they face Australia in a three-game series which would one of the last dress rehearsals for the marquee tournament. But just before the start of the first India - Australia T20I game in Mohali, cricketing fans were witness to an incredible moment.

As both teams were moving towards the start of the match, former India captain Virat Kohli and former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh were spotted interacting. The video was posted by the BCCI social media accounts, where two stalwarts of Indian cricket are conversing before the fixture. Kohli and Yuvraj have had a great relationship over the years. But the contents of their conversation are still unknown.

Talking about Kohli, the Delhi-born player was under a lot of criticism because of his bad run of form over the past few years. But in the recently concluded Asia Cup, Kohli emerged as the second-highest run-scorer with 276 runs in five matches at a strike rate of 147.59, which included two fifties and a hundred.

Reacting to this incredible performance, former Australia captain Ricky Ponting praised Kohli as he said, "It’s (the century) taken a bit longer, the last couple of years because he has been in that century-making drought if you like, it has taken a bit longer to get to me than I thought it was going to. But look, he is obviously one of the all-time greats and there’s still a long time to go in his career. It was good to see him back in the runs.”
