The Rohit Sharma-led Team India are on a roll as they enter the semifinals of the ODI World Cup 2023 on the back of a nine-match winning streak. The Men in Blue have remained unbeaten in the entire league stage of the CWC 2023, beating their Dutch counterparts recently at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, 12 November.
While they beat the Scott Edwards-led side by 160 runs, former India captain, Virat Kohli did steal the limelight with his performance. While he wasn’t the only one but joined by Bollywood actress and wife Anushka Sharma in the stands, Virat had all the energy. In what was the last league stage match of CWC 2023, Kohli was once again spotted rolling his arm.
The 35-year-old, who came into bowl the 23rd over of the inning, conceded seven runs in his first over, however in his second over (25th), Virat Kohli claimed his fifth ODI wicket. Bowling to Netherlands skipper, Scott Edwards, Kohli bowled a wide with Edwards knocking it and keeper, KL Rahul grabbing with both his hands. This wicket, which was first for Kohli in CWC 2023 left the fans as well as Anushka jumping into wild celebrations.

Notably, even Team India skipper, Rohit Sharma picked a wicket. He dismissed Teja Nidamanuru, whole holed out to the long on region with Shami completing the catch. With this, Rohit scalped his ninth ODI wicket from 260 games.
