Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) legend Virat Kohli looked embarrassed after watching his old video of himself from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2011. The veteran couldn’t control himself while watching his interview in which he got the player of the match (POTM) award after guiding RCB to a three-wicket win against Delhi Capitals (DC) in Delhi. That was Kohli’s first POTM award in the distinguished league. Chasing 161, Bengaluru won the game in the last over of the contest by three wickets and Kohli chipped in with his 56 off 38.

At the post-match conference, when Kohli was asked about his shots in the game, he said how he took the role of attacker from Chris Gayle in the 82-run stand for the second wicket. The right-handed batter had remarked, "To be honest, I did not plan to bat like that. But when I started to hit the ball well, I took charge from Chris. That was the plan in the middle so that he could play himself in, and I could go for my shots because I was hitting it well."

Waah! Ghalat fehmi dekh lo: Virat Kohli to his younger self

When Kohli was shown his video on JioHotstar’s show ‘18 Calling 18,’ Kohli said he doesn’t know what he even said. "I don't even know what I said. You guys brought it here from somewhere," remarked Kohli. He then watched the whole clip and made fun of himself after listening to himself talking about Chris Gayle, who was his teammate in RCB. He looked slightly embarrassed as well.

The RCB legend added, "Chris could play himself in? Waah! Ghalat fehmi dekh lo (Look at the misunderstanding)! Since the social media boom, fans have started analysing players' quotes, which has become way too twisted." Kohli will be next seen in action against Delhi Capitals (DC), who are leading the points table with three wins. RCB will take on Delhi at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 10.
