Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) climbed to the top of the IPL 2025 points table after a convincing 6-wicket win over Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 27 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. While the match was a classic exhibition of Virat Kohli’s chasing masterclass along with Krunal Pandya's match-winning 73*(47) runs, there was another angle and moment that has captured the attention of many. This week was titled as ‘revenge week’ by the IPL as it had lot of reverse fixtures, where one team was looking to avenge their previous defeat of the current season and settle scores. And Virat Kohli had a personal score to settle.During the previous clash RCB and DC this year, DC got better of RCB at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium. KL Rahul had gathered the spotlight with his dramatic celebration after a successful run-chase where he had re-created a scene from the iconic south-Indian film Kantara, by banging his bat on the pitch, indicating that 'this is my ground'.

KL Rahul had referred to the fact that he is born and brought up in Bengaluru and performed the celebration as a gesture of the same. Now, as DC and RCB were set to face each other in Delhi, wihch is Virat Kohli’s home-town, fans were hoping to see a repeat of the same celebration. Although Kohli could not perform the celebration during the run-chase as he was dismissed when RCB were 17 runs short of the target; the RCB batter was seen imitating the celebration in front of KL Rahul during the post-match affairs. The celebration was not an aggressive one but a rather light moment of laughter shared between the two stalwarts of Indian cricket as Kohli was seen hugging Rahul immediately.
