The Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are coming from behind and have won five matches on trot to keep their IPL 2024 playoff hopes alive. In their most recent outing, where they hosted the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, they registered a convincing 47-run win to claim the fifth spot in the IPL standings.

During the match, which was crucial for both teams, saw some hilarious banter unfold between Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma. However, the latter got the better of Kohli as he dismissed him in the fourth over. The Indian batter continued this in the dressing room with his teammate Mohammed Siraj and Karn Sharma.

In the video posted by the RCB’s social media handles, Siraj is seen talking about the win against DC, which has further improved their chances of making the playoffs. The Indian pacer was elated seen the “brand of cricket” RCB is playing with over the last few games and while explaining the same, left the dressing room in splits.

Here is how the conversation went:

Virat Kohli: He is saying batter has bat and bowler has a bowl.

Mohammed Siraj: The mindset is to take wickets, right?

Virat Kohli: Alag cricket chal rahi hai. Just say - ‘All I can see are stumps’.

Mohammed Siraj: Siuuu

Virat Kohli: He is saying see you!

The Bengaluru-based franchise is placed fifth the IPL 2024 standings with 12 points to their name. They have a solitary match left in the league stage and will next face the defending champions in Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, May 18. A win in the match will either take them to 14 points, equaling CSK and LSG.
