India batter Virat Kohli is a complete character. While the 34-year-old maintains high intensity on the pitch, Kohli is often seen fooling around with teammates off it. A recent example of the same was seen during India’s practice session ahead of the first Test against Bangladesh. Kohli was seen fooling around with spinner Axar Patel while the players practiced in the nets on Tuesday. It’s said that the batter was teasing Patel after tonking him for a massive six in the nets.

In a video doing the rounds on the internet, Kohli is seen smoking Patel for a massive six straight down the ground. Later, the batter is seen trolling the bowler.

Coming to Kohli’s practice session, the batter looked in good touch and played aggressive shots. This might be an indication of what India are planning on doing in the first Test. With a spot in the WTC Final at stake, KL Rahul, the stand-in captain has hinted at India playing aggressive cricket. Rahul backed England’s approach in the two Tests against Pakistan and hinted at emulating the same when India takes on Bangladesh.

“We won’t go in with any set mindset... At least for us we will go there and try to be aggressive and brave, try and get a result. The game is played over five days so it is important to break it down to smaller targets. In every session, the demands would be different but one thing is sure that you are going to see a lot of aggressive cricket from our side,” said Rahul during a media conference.

“As cricketers, I don’t think it is reckless cricket. They have a certain mindset, they thought about it, they back their players and the players are doing the job for the team, so it doesn’t matter how you have done it. Cricket is changing, there is no set way of how this game needs to be played,” the opener further stated.
