The Wimbledon tennis Grand Slam is known for attracting global celebrities to the All England Club, and Wimbledon 2025 has been no exception. Some visit just to enjoy the game live, and some visit to promote their movies, along with enjoying the game. The latest star spotted at Centre Court was 16-time WWE champion John Cena. Fresh off his successful title defence against CM Punk at the Night of Champions, Cena was seen enjoying the tournament alongside his wife, Shay Shariatzadeh. The couple were in the city for the special screening of his new movie titled "Heads of State."
The official X account of the Grand Slam shared a clip of Cena and his wife enjoying the live tennis action, and captioned, “It’s great to see you at Wimbledon, John Cena.” The wrestling icon was notably absent from RAW this week and isn’t slated for any appearances until the July 18 episode of SmackDown. Cena and his wife were joined by a host of celebrities, including Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Olivia Rodrigo, Dave Grohl, and others. The origin of the famous phrase by Cena "You can't see me," comes from one of the earlier ring matches, when he waved his hand in front of his face against the opponent and shouted the line.

The centre court glittered with global film stars and sports icons
The Royal Box of the Centre Court has always been the center of attraction as it hosts some of the top celebrities from the entertainment and sports industry. On Day 1, former England cricketer Stuart Broad was spotted with his partner, singer Mollie King. Football icon David Beckham also made an appearance, sharing a selfie with 2004 Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova. The tournament also witnessed other notable personalities, including Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne, former England football manager Gareth Southgate, and sports business executive James Worrall.
At the recent Night of Champions premium live event in Saudi Arabia, Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton to capture this year’s King of the Ring crown. With this win, he secured a World Championship showdown at SummerSlam against John Cena, who just retained his Undisputed title against CM Punk last weekend. Meanwhile, at Wimbledon, some top seeds have already been forced to retire, and the off-court buzz continues to add to the tournament’s intrigue.
