The swashbuckling batter Yusuf Pathan and pacer Yusuf Pathan engaged in an ugly fight during the Qualifier 1 match between Bhilwara Kings and India Capitals on Sunday (October 2) at Barkatullah Khan Stadium, Jodhpur. The video of the incident has gone viral, wherein Johnson is seen crossing limits to push Pathan after an exchange of words, and then umpires intervening to put the matter to rest.

Batting first, Kings were off to a flyer with William Porterfield (59) and Shane Watson (65) scoring runs all over the park, and adding 116 runs for the second wicket. Then, Pathan arrived at the number four position and continued his good form in the tournament.

Frustrated by the onslaught of the opposition, Johnson, who is always known for his sledging took an aim at Pathan, which irked the all-rounder. In an immediate reaction, the former India batter charged towards the bowling end, while having a heated discussion with the pacer.  Soon, things got escalated and Johnson pushed Pathan, but soon the umpire took Johnson away from the pitch. The clip saw the presence of Capitals players Denesh Ramdin and Solomon Mire, along with the on-field umpires in the vicinity of both players.

Pathan's blistering knock of 48 off 24 balls came to an end courtesy of Johnson in the penultimate over, and then Kings posted a mammoth score of 226 on the board.  In response, the knocks from Ross Taylor (84 off 39) and Ashley Nurse (60 off 28) sealed the game for the Capitals, with two balls to spare. Kings will now meet Gujarat Giants on Monday (October 3) to reach the final and book a clash with Capitals.
