The Punjab Kings (PBKS) will next travel to take on former champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a reverse fixture in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Wednesday, April 30. However, both teams will be coming into this match on the back of defeats, they will be eager to go all out in order to finish in the top four to progress into the playoffs.

Ahead of the match, PBKS spinner and legend Yuzvendra Chahal got himself in some trouble after he got legend MS Dhoni’s bat. Chahal, who is playing for PBKS, got his hands on MS Dhoni’s bat and returned to the dressing room, showing it off to everyone present. Australian all-rounder, Glenn Maxwell, who was present inside the dressing room, asked if it was from the CSK legend.

Quickly seeing Chahal with MS Dhoni’s bat, Maxwell questioned, “What are you going to do with it?” Chahal later replied with some shadow batting while adding that he’ll use it. To this, the Aussie all-rounder brought up a hilarious response, reminding Chahal that he is the one who gets subbed out during the matches. “You get subbed out in every game,” Maxwell replied. Priyansh Arya, who was also present in the dressing room, also joked adding that some kid in Haryana will surely take it away from Chahal.

“Some kid in Haryana is going to take this bat for sure,” Priyansh Arya jokingly responded.

Speaking of the Punjab Kings, the Shreyas Iyer-led franchise will aim to double the scores when they face CSK on Wednesday after earlier registering a win by 18 runs in Mullanpur. With a win, they will hope to get into the top four, whereas CSK will hope for a consolation win as their campaign is more or less over as a defeat will eliminate them officially.
