Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been one of the greatest players of the modern era with incredible finishing ability, outlandish athleticism and longevity. But along with his exploits on the field, Ibra has also garnered a reputation for being a funny and swaggering individual. Hence, to showcase this side of his personality, the AC Milan forward will be making his debut on the silver screen.

Ibrahimovic will be featured in the live-action adaptation of the classic French cartoon strip, ‘Asterix and Obelix: L’Empire du milieu’ which will be released in February 2023. Zlatan shared the trailer on social media and confirmed he will be playing a Roman soldier called Antivirus who can battle any opponent.

At the age of 41, the Swede shows no signs of stopping despite suffering another major injury before the start of the ongoing season. Ibra is currently recovering and is set to return in the Rossoneri jersey after the 2022 Qatar World Cup, at the beginning of 2023. For this reason, he has signed a contract worth €1.5 million with bonusses related to his performance as he will play only in the last part of the season.

Talking about AC Milan, the defending Serie A champions didn’t have a great start as they are currently placed fifth on the table behind teams like Lazio, Napoli, Udinese and Atalanta. In their recent fixture, the Rossoneri took down Sampdoria 2-1. Brazilian Junior Messias opened the scoring but Milan conceded in the 57th minute, thanks to Filip Duricic’s goal. But ten minutes later, Olivier Giroud iced the game as he slotted a penalty to win the game for AC Milan.
