Jharkhand-based Saurabh Tiwari was one of the strong prospects who broke into the scene for his terrific batting and hairstyle which had its resemblance with former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Due to his ability to hit boundaries all around, Saurabh Tiwari was once regarded as the next big thing in Indian cricket.

But the middle-order batter faded away amid tough competition at the national level and is currently not in the scheme of things for any format of the game. However, Tiwari is playing for Jharkhand in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2022-23 season and has been in terrific form with the bat. But, before we talk about his batting performances, Tiwari has been grabbing a lot of headlines for a viral video where he can be seen schooling a cricket fan who was teasing him during the Jharkhand vs Saurashtra match.

As visible in the video, the cricket fan was trying to act over-smart by calling out Tiwari’s name and asking the cricketer when he will go out in the middle to bat. While the cricket fan was respectful in his first two calls, he went over the board when he said ‘Abe Saurabh, kab jayega batting karne?’ That call visibly irked the Indian cricketer who went told the cricket fan to stay within his limit and watch the game.

“Ghar jana hain ki nahi. Match dekhne aya hain match dekh,” Tiwari said. Despite requesting the cricket fan to talk sensibly, the latter responded abruptly by using cruse words and telling Tiwari that he does not know how to play the game. That made Saurabh completely agitated as he ran towards the cricket fan to teach him a lesson.

Talking about Tiwari’s performance, Tiwari smashed a brilliant 165 in just 237 deliveries in the 1st innings against Saurashtra. The brilliant century from the veteran helped the side to clinch a 9-wicket victory over Saurashtra as the bowlers like Shahbaz Nadeem and Anukul Roy too shone with the ball.
