The D-day is here and the countdown for the last few hours has also begun. The first game of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is just a few hours away. Chennai Super Kings will begin their title defense against Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday under a new leader. While CSK readies itself for the first game, Dwayne Bravo has revealed how the franchise is going to defend the title.

In the latest interaction with the Times of India, Bravo talked about multiple things including CSK's preparations. Bravo said that although it will be a difficult task to defend the title, the Yellow Army will give it all to bring the glory home. The veteran all-rounder said that CSK have the right mix of youth and experienced players which will help the team to win its fifth title.

"The IPL is the toughest T20 tournament in the world, and it’s always a challenge to defend our title. It’s easier to win it, but harder to defend it. I think we have the right squad. We have a good balance again. We have good experienced and young players in the mix. So, we’ll do everything to defend the title. But, like I said before, it’s always a harder thing to do in defending. We’ll give it our best," said Bravo.

We will make sure Jadeja becomes a successful leader: Bravo

The West Indian also talked about the change in the leadership within the CSK camp. Notably, MS Dhoni finally relinquished from captaincy duties after donning the captain's hat for 12 seasons and chose Ravindra Jadeja as his successor. As the all-rounder does not have that much experience in leading a team, Bravo said they will support him 100% and will make sure he becomes a successful leader.

"I’m very happy for Jaddu. He’s at the peak of his career. We’re all very happy for him. He deserves it. He’s a bright choice to take over from MS (Dhoni). We’re going to support him 100%. We’re going to make sure that he will be a successful leader," said the 38-year-old.
