A valiant knock from Shreyas Iyer and R Ashwin sealed the second Test for Team India as the visitors sealed the series 2-0 in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. While defending 144, Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz produced a brilliant spell as he picked up five wickets in the second innings of India's batting, pushing the visitors down the barrel.
Team India was once reduced to 74/7 but Ashwin and Shreyas Iyer stitched a match-winning partnership to keep India's chances for the World Test Championship final alive. Notably, Team India will now play Australia in a four-Test series and needs to win at least three and a draw to ensure their second straight qualification in the WTC final.
India’s prolific allrounder R Ashwin made a significant contribution in the game as he earlier picked up six wickets in the game, followed by an unbeaten 42-run knock in the 2nd innings.
