On Friday, August 16, SLC announced indefinite suspension for Niroshan Dickwella due to anti-doping violations. It is to be noted that Dickwella failed to pass a doping test conducted according to the World Anti-Doping guidelines during the Lanka Premier League (LPL). " The suspension is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice," the statement from SLC read.
Zimbabwe keen to host WT20 WC 2024 after India rejects ICC’s appeal
Zimbabwe is the latest to join the likes of UAE and Sri Lanka to host the Women's T20 World Cup in October. It is to be noted that Zimbabwe will serve as a neutral host as their women’s team has not qualified for the tournament.
