The start of the India tour of South Africa wasn't the one expected as the match was called off due to persistent rain in Durban. But the Suryakumar Yadav-led side will aim to put their best foot forward in order to continue their winning run as they take on the Proteas Men in Gqeberha on Tuesday, 12 December. On the other hand, the Women in Blue will now lock horns in the only Test, starting December 14 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

South Africa vs India 2nd T20I: Following the washout in the first T20I, South Africa will be playing against India in the second fixture in the three-match series at the St George’s Park in Gqeberha. The Proteas haven’t competed in international cricket in the last four weeks or so, while the Indian cricket team have been winning more matches than not in the T20I format recently. Although South Africa are expected to give a stern competition to India in the second T20I, especially due to the home advantage in their favour.

West Indies vs England 1st T20I: After winning the three-match ODI series by a 2-1 margin against England, the Shai Hope-led side will kick start the five-match T20I series against the Jos Buttler's Three Lions at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. Additionally, Andre Russell's return in T20I colours after two long years will be a sight to watch.

  • Sydney Thunder vs Brisbane Heat: Sydney Thunder are scheduled to square off against the Brisbane Heat in Match 6 of the Big Bash League 2023-24 on Tuesday. The match is scheduled to take place at the Manuka Oval in Canberra at 01:45 p.m. IST. While the Colin Munro's side will play their third match of the season, the Chris Green-led side will aim to begin the season with a bang.

BBL 2023-24: Sydney Sixers beat Hobart Hurricanes by 6 wickets 

Moises Henriques-led Sydney Sixers registered their second win on the trot to go on the top of the points table with four points. After the Nathan Ellis-led side decided to bat first, they put up 135/8, courtesy Caleb Jewell's knock of 42 runs off 24 deliveries. However, Daniel Hughes 60 from 50 deliveries helped the Sixers seal the game with six wickets in hand in 19.2 overs. 

BCCI releases list of players for IPL 2024 Auction

The roster for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Player Auction has been unveiled, featuring 333 cricketers scheduled to go under the hammer in Dubai at the Coca-Cola Arena on December 19, 2023. Out of 333 players, 214 are Indians and 119 are overseas players of which 2 players are from Associate Nations. The auction will start at 2:30 PM IST.

England names 16-man Test squad for India tour in 2024

England Cricket Board has announced 16-man Test squad for the upcoming tour to India. The Three Lions will play a five-match Test series starting on January 25, 2024. Ben Stokes will continue as the captain with the all-rounder scheduled to complete his recovery after knee surgery. Talking about the new names, the ECB has included three uncapped players- Gus Atkinson, Tom Hartley and Shoaib Bashir.

Team India strength and conditioning coach, Ankit Kaliyar while speaking to TOI confirmed that Rohit Sharma is fit. "He has good fitness. He looks a bit bulky but he always passes the Yo-Yo test. He is as fit as Virat Kohli," Ankit was quoted. Meanwhile the young coach credited Virat Kohli to have created this fitness culture in the team.

ICC releases revised schedule for U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 in South Africa

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday announced a revised schedule for the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024. The ICC confirmed five venues in South Africa that will host the 15th edition of the celebrated event between 19 January and 11 February, following the decision taken by the ICC Board in November to relocate the event from Sri Lanka.

ICC to begin stop clock trials from West Indies vs England 1st T20I

In its ongoing efforts to speed up the pace of play in international cricket, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has introduced a stop clock, on a trial basis, in Full Member Men’s ODI and T20I matches between December 2023 and April 2024. The trial will start with the first T20I match between the West Indies and England on 12 December in Barbados.

Travis Head to not open for Australia against Pakistan in 1st Test

Australian batter Travis Head has ruled him as an opener for the first Test against Pakistan which kicks off on December 14 in Perth. Speaking to the media in Perth, Travis Head spoke about how he has been asked to focus as a middle-order batter and described the opening as a specialist job. 

Jason Holder, Kyle Mayers, Nicholas Pooran decline West Indies central contract 2023-24; confirm availability for T20Is

Cricket West Indies (CWI) on Monday, 11 December announced the central contracts for 2023-24 for both, men and women. While there were inclusions of four new faces in the men's central contract, notable names like Nicholas Pooran, Jason Holder and Kyle Mayers declined the contract. However, the three players have made themselves available to play T20Is.

Asad Shafiq announces retirement from all forms of cricket

Pakistan Test batter Asad Shafiq on Sunday, 10 December 2023 announced retirement from all forms of cricket. Speaking at the press conference after leading the Karachi Whites to the title win made this announcement, stating, “I am not feeling the same excitement and passion playing cricket and neither do I have the same fitness levels required for international cricket."
