The star left-arm spinner shared a post on his social media with Warne's statue in the background. He shared some pictures with the statue of the Aussie legend and captioned the post, “Bowling Shane…. Always & Forever." Kuldeep Yadav has been a big admirer of the Australian bowling legend since his playing days. In his previous interview, Kuldeep also revealed that how Warne’s death affected him as he lost a member of his family. “Shane Warne was my idol, and I had a very strong connection with him. I still get emotional when I think about Warnie — it feels like I’ve lost someone from my family,” Kuldeep was quoted as saying by India.com

ICC Women’s Championship to expand from 10 to 11 teams for 2026-29 edition

The 2026-29 edition of the ICC Women's Championship is set to expand from 10 to 11 teams. The four-year long ODI tournament to determine the top five automatic qualifiers to the Women's World Cup 2029, will have Zimbabwe added to the mix for its next edition, to compete with the 10 other full member nations. When the tournament was first introduced in 2014, it consisted of eight teams namely Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and West Indies.  The first two editions saw eight teams playing each other in three-match ODI series (the India vs Pakistan series didn’t get a green signal due to long-standing political tensions), home and away over the course of 2.5 years.

Southee said that the longest format of cricket is still closest to his heart despite the immense popularity of the T20 format. Southee said that he is committed to the longer format and explained the importance over the shorter versions of cricket. The Kiwi bowler said that franchise competitions help add to a player’s skill set.
