After losing their ODI World Cup 2023 final against Australia, the Men in Blue began their five-match T20I series against the Aussies with a win at the  Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Thursday. On the other hand, the Women's Big Bash League 2023 is approaching its playoff stages with just three matchdays left.

LLC 2023 - Bhilwara Kings vs Manipal Tigers

Irfan Pathan-led Bhilwara Kings are scheduled to face Harbhajan Singh's Manipal Tigers in the Legends League Cricket 2023 on Friday. The match will take place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun at 06:30 p.m. IST. While the Tigers are placed second in the points table after winning their LLC 2023 opener, the Kings are placed third with a win and a loss in two matches.

Suryakumar Yadav's 80 helps India complete highest successful chase in T20Is

The Suryakumar Yadav-led Team India registered a thrilling two-wicket victory over Australia in the first T20I in Vishakhapatnam. With this performance, the Men in Blue have won their 13th straight T20I game at home. Bowling first, the Indian bowlers were under the pump, despite picking up an early wicket, as Josh Inglis and Steven Smith built a towering partnership. After Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav's wicket during the chase, Rinku Singh stood from one end and finished off the game with a last-ball six when the Men in Blue needed one run after losing three wickets on consecutive deliveries.

Gurkeerat Singh Mann smashed 89 off 54 to help the Urbanrisers put 189 runs on the board. During the chase Capitals' substitute player Kevin Pietersen went berserk with his 77-off-48 while Ashley Nurse smashed an unbeaten 41-off-25, however, they fell 3 runs short to win the match.

S Sreesanth charged in ₹18 lakh fraud case by Kerala man

Former India cricketer S Sreesanth was booked in an ₹18.7 lakh cheating case by a Kerala man named Sareesh Gopalan. Police have filed a cheating case against Sreesanth, along with two other men, named Rajiv Kumar and Venkatesh Kini on the basis of a complaint made by a man based in Kerala’s Kannur district. The complainant alleged that Rajiv and Venkatesh took ₹18.7 lakh from him on several dates, starting on April 29, 2019. 

Ben Stokes to miss IPL 2024 due to workload management

England Test captain, and all-rounder, Ben Stokes, who became a part of Chennai Super Kings ahead of the successful IPL 2023, has made himself unavailable for IPL 2024 to manage his workload and fitness. The Chennai Super Kings management is supportive of Ben in his decision to manage his workload with England playing a 5-Test series in India before the IPL and then the T20 World Cup in June 2024.
