With this victory, the Men in Blue registered their eighth straight triumph in the World Cup 2023. Coming back to the game, Team India won the toss and started on the front foot with the bat. Kohli's ton and crucial cameos by Suryakumar Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja helped India post a staggering 326-run total. Jadeja picked up a five-wicket haul while Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav chipped in with two wickets each to dismantle the Proteas' batting lineup.
