The ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 is just three days away with teams playing their warm-up matches ahead of the quadrennial showpiece. On the other hand, the Asian Games 2023 will enter the knockout stages of the Men's Cricket event on Tuesday with it's final group stage fixtures to be completed on Monday.

ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Warm-Up matches

Bangladesh vs England: The defending champions, England's first warm-up fixture against hosts India was called off without a ball being bowled due to rain. On the other hand, Bangladesh defeated Asian rivals Sri Lanka in their first warm-up game. The Three Lions will now face Bangladesh in their second warm-up clash at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati on Monday at 02:00 p.m. IST.

New Zealand vs South Africa: While South Africa's first warm-up game against Afghanistan was abandoned due to rain, New Zealand defeated tournament favourites Pakistan in their first warm-up fixture. The 2019 World Cup runners-up will next face the Proteas on Monday at the Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram at 02:00 p.m. IST.

Irani Cup: Rest of India vs Saurashtra

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Rest of India scored 298 runs at a loss of eight wickets at the stumps on Day 1 as opener Sai Sudarshan scored the most runs for his side with his 72-run knock while Saurasthra's Parth Bhut picked up four wickets. The ROI will continue with the bat on Day 2 as Saurabh Kumar (32 off 55) and Navdeep Saini (8 off 10) are on the crease.

Asian Games 2023: Men's Cricket

Malaysia vs Thailand: On Monday morning, the Asian Games 2023 group stage finished with Nepal, Hong Kong, and Malaysia topping Groups A, B, and C respectively to qualify for the quarterfinals. In their second match of the group stage, Malaysia absolutely dominated Thailand with a 194-run victory after placing a huge target of 268 runs. Malaysia's opener Syed Aziz scored 126 runs at a strike rate of 225 with the help of 13 fours and nine sixes. On the other hand, Thailand managed to score 74 runs at a loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.

Japan vs Hong Kong: In their second match of the Asian Games 2023 group stage, Hong Kong defeated Japan by five wickets with seven balls remaining on Sunday. With this victory, Hong Kong clinched the top spot in Group B to qualify for the quarterfinals.

Nepal vs Maldives: Nepal continued their dominant run at the Asia Games 2023 with a 138-run victory against Maldives on Sunday. Captain Rohit Paudel's 52 off 27 and Kushal Malla's unbeaten knock of 47 runs in 20 deliveries helped Nepal set a huge target of 212 runs. Nepal's Abinash Bohara six wickets in 3.4 overs helped Nepal to bowl out Maldives at 74 runs with two balls remaining.

South Africa Women vs New Zealand Women 3rd ODI: After losing the first two ODI matches of the three-match ODI series, New Zealand Women clinched a consolation win against the hosts, South Africa Women in their third match on Sunday. After winning the toss New Zealand opted to bowl first and the decision became fruitful as the Kiwis bowled out the Protea women for 209 runs despite  Marizanne Kapp's 72-run inning. Sophie Devine and  Lea Tahuhu picked up three wickets each for the Kiwis. On the other hand, Amelia Kerr's unbeaten centurion knock guided the Kiwis to win the third ODI at Kindsmead, Durban.

Australia Women vs West Indies Women 1st T20I: The West Indies women's tour of Australia has begun with the hosts winning the first T20I against the Windies Women on Sunday in Sydney. Despite Windies opener Hayley Matthews' unbeaten knock of 99 runs off 74 balls, Australia won the game by eight wickets as they chased the 148-run target in just 13.2 overs. Australia skipper Alyssa Healy smashed 56 off 29 while Tahlia McGrath scored an unbeaten 60 off 32 to help their side win the game with 40 balls remaining.

Former Pakistan cricketer Moin Khan made shocking revelations about their side’s cricket team ahead of the 2023 World Cup.
