While India became the second team with the most wins in the ODI World Cup matches after beating defending champions England on Sunday, Afghanistan continued their dream run at the CWC 2023 and registered their third win in the tournament against Sri Lanka on Monday.

ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Bangladesh vs Pakistan

Shakib Al Hasan-led Bangladesh won their CWC 2023 opener against Afghanistan and lost their next five matches while Babar Azam's Pakistan are currently on a four-game losing streak after winning their only two matches against the likes of Sri Lanka and the Netherlands. Bangladesh and Pakistan are scheduled to square off against each other at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday at 02:00 p.m. IST.

WBBL 2023-24:  Perth Scorchers vs Sydney Sixers

The fourth-placed Perth Scorchers are scheduled to host Ellyse Perry's Sydney Sixers at the Western Australia Cricket Association Ground, Perth on Tuesday at 02:40 p.m. IST. While the Scorchers managed the fourth spot with two wins and losses each, the Sixers are placed at the bottom with just one win in four matches.

CWC 2023: Afghanistan continue good form with seven-wicket win over Sri Lanka

Afghanistan completed another clinical win in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 after beating Sri Lanka by seven wickets. With this triumph, the Afghani team has so far defeated former World Cup winners - England, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka in the 2023 edition of the tournament. Afghanistan also jumped up to the fifth spot on the points table with this victory. The Afghan Atlans will look to register their fourth win in the ongoing World Cup when they next face the Netherlands.

The 87-year-old Sri Lankan followed the game since his childhood and was a hardcore fan of his national team. Uncle Percy was first seen supporting the Sri Lankan team in the 1979 World Cup and has been with the team ever since.

Lizelle Lee's knock helps Hobart Hurricanes hand first loss to Sydney Thunder

South Africa wicketkeeper-batter Lizelle Lee displayed a tremendous performance with the bat as she scored 91 runs off just 54 balls with 12 fours and two sixes to help the Hurricanes post a decent total of 174 runs. In response, Heather Knight's Thunder failed to reach the target and lost the game by 24 runs after managing just 150 runs in 20 overs at a loss of six wickets.
