Afghanistan completed another clinical win in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 after beating Sri Lanka by seven wickets. With this triumph, the Afghani team has so far defeated former World Cup winners - England, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka in the 2023 edition of the tournament. Afghanistan also jumped up to the fifth spot on the points table with this victory. Sri Lankan superfan Percy Abeysekera aka Uncle Percy has passed away after a prolonged illness. The 87-year-old Sri Lankan followed the game since his childhood and was a hardcore fan of his national team. Uncle Percy was first seen supporting the Sri Lankan team in the 1979 World Cup and has been with the team ever since.
Lizelle Lee's knock helps Hobart Hurricanes hand first loss to Sydney Thunder
South Africa wicketkeeper-batter Lizelle Lee displayed a tremendous performance with the bat as she scored 91 runs off just 54 balls with 12 fours and two sixes to help the Hurricanes post a decent total of 174 runs.
