After winning the Asia Cup 2023, Team India will look forward to the Australia series before heading towards the ODI World Cup 2023 in October-November. On the other hand, Australia lost the five-match ODI series against South Africa after leading the series 2-0 and will now travel to India for the bilateral series. Bangladesh’s Tanzim Hasan Sakib under fire for misogynist comments

Bangladesh’s young fast bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib is under fire after his old Facebook post resurfaced recently. The post contained multiple derogatory remarks against the working women. The 20-year-old Tanzim dismissed India skipper Rohit Sharma on his fourth delivery of the international debut in the Asia Cup 2023 and went on to defend Bangladesh's total in the final over to help the Tigers beat India in the Super 4s.

Virat Kohli emerges as the Most Searched Personality in Asia

Former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli has emerged as Asia's most-searched personality on Google in 2023. The reported data from Google Trends revealed that the right-handed batter overtook some of the most famous personalities in Asia including  the Korean pop group BTS V, and Jungkook among others . Virat Kohli will be rested for the first two ODI matches against Australia and will return to the squad for the third and final ODI.

India squad for ODI series against Australia announced; Ravichandran Ashwin returns

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday, September 18, announced India's squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia. Spinner all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin will return to the ODI circuit following Axar Patel's injury in the Asia Cup 2023. Apart from that, skipper Rohit Sharma, vice-captain Hardik Pandya, veteran Virat Kohli, and in-form spinner Kuldeep Yadav will be rested for the first two ODI matches against Australia.

Guyana Amazon Warriors thrash Barbados Royals to sit on top in CPL 2023

Imran Tahir's Guyana Amazon Warriors continued their dominant performance in the Caribbean Premier League 2023 and thrashed Rovman Powell-led Barbados Royals by 88 runs as Shai Hope smashed 106 runs in 44 balls to help Guyana put 226 runs on the board. The Royals fell 88 runs short after playing 20 overs as Amazon Warriors skipper Tahir picked up three wickets. The Amazon Warriors sit comfortably at the top of the points table with eight wins in 10 matches.

Sussex penalised, skipper Cheteshwar Pujara suspended

Following their dissembling behavior during the dramatic, 15-run win over Leicestershire last week , Sussex decided to stand down three players - Jack Carson, Tom Haines, and Ari Karvelas. While Sussex were expected to go on the top after winning against their promotion rivals at Hove, they  have been docked 12 points in the County Championship to drop down to fifth. Additionally, the County side will also miss the service of  their captain Cheteshwar Pujara, who  received an automatic suspension after the club was handed four penalties in the same season , for this week's match against Derbyshire.

Hassan Khan stars in USA's Minor League Cricket

Pakistan's U-19 captain Hassan Khan may not have a storied career as his former teammate Shaheen Shah Afridi but the youngster has risen through the ranks and made his mark in the USA's Minor League Cricket.  Hassan has been prolific with his all-round abilities for the Chicago Kingsmen in MLC 2023. Despite batting in the lower middle order, the Pakistani youngster has blasted 3 half-centuries, eclipsing star teammates like Fawad Alam and Ravi Bopara, in five innings  at an average of 110 and a strike rate of 180 . Hassan also picked up 11 wickets over five innings at  an economy of 4.9.
