International cricket returned with Ireland's tour of England, however, their first ODI was abandoned due to rain. On the other hand, Caribbean Premier League 2023 has entered its final stages as Trinbago Knight Riders qualified for the final and are just one match away from the summit clash.

Trinbago Knight Riders qualify for CPL 2023 final

Kieron Pollard's Trinbago Knight Riders defeated Guyana Amazon Warriors by seven wickets and 11 balls remaining in Qualifier 1 of the Caribbean Premier League 2023 on Wednesday. With this victory, the Knight Riders qualified for the finals while the winner of Qualifier 2 between the Amazon Warriors and the  Jamaica Tallawahs will face Trinbag in the summit clash.

Ireland tour of England: 1st ODI abandoned

After winning their four-match ODI series against New Zealand by 3-1, England host Ireland for a three-match ODI series before heading towards India for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The first ODI between England and Ireland was scheduled to be played at  Headingley on Wednesday, however, the rain-soaked ground was unfit to play as the officials abandoned the game without a toss.

County Championship: Karun Nair scores century, Umesh Yadav hits fifty

India’s batsman, Karun Nair, is currently in England, playing in the County Championship for Northamptonshire, and scored an amazing century at the Oval against Surrey on Wednesday.  Karun Nair walked in at No. 4 and steadied the ship for the county side. Playing a gritty knock, the batter brought up a well-made half-century in 108 deliveries, consisting of eight fours.

Umesh Yadav walked in at No. 9 for Essex and took the Hampshire bowlers to the cleaners after getting set. He was at 3 (21) but accelerated to 30 (31) in a span of just three overs by hitting three fours and two sixes. He then reached his half-century in 43 balls, adding two more sixes.

Afghanistan squad for Hangzhou Asian Games announced

The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced its 15-member squad for the 19th Asian Games, which are scheduled to take place from September 23 in Hangzhou, China. Veteran Gulbadin has been brought back to lead the side, with Mohammad Shehzad being named as his vice-captain.  Additionally, Nangyal Kharoti, Mohammad Ibrahim, and Allah Noor Nasiri have been named as travelling reserves for the side.

Kuldeep Yadav pays visit to Bageshwar Dham ahead of ODI World Cup 2023

After his sensational Man of the Tournament performance in the recently-concluded Asia Cup 2023, Kuldeep Yadav, who is being rested for the first two Australia ODI matches to manage his workload and keep him fit ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023, visited Bageshwar Dham and met Pandit  Dhirendra Shastri along with his family as the pictures went viral on social media.

ICC Men's ODI Bowling Rankings:  Mohammed Siraj returns to top spot

Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj had a dream run at the Asia Cup 2023 as he picked his best-ever bowling figures of 6 for 21 in seven overs against Sri Lanka in the final. His dominating performance helped him to regain the top spot in the ICC Men's ODI Bowling Rankings. Siraj surged eight spots to reach the top followed by Australia's Josh Hazlewood, and Trent Boult of New Zealand.

The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is around the corner as defending champions England are scheduled to play the opener against the previous edition's runners-up New Zealand in a repeat of the 2019 World Cup. ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024: ICC confirms 3 USA venues as hosts

The International Cricket Council (ICC) today confirmed Dallas, Florida, and New York as the three USA venues identified to host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. Grand Prairie in Dallas, Broward County in Florida, and Nassau County in New York will be part of history as the event is staged in the USA for the first time.
