I can definitely understand it in some ways but I’m not a very negative person: Virgil van Dijk over lack of recruitment
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk said that he understands fans’ concern over the club's two signings in the latest transfer window. Djik replaced Jordan Henderson as Liverpool’s skipper after the latter joined Saudi Pro League Club Al-Ettifaq and ended his Liverpool stay after 12 years. Apart from his, the team has lost names like Fabinho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner, Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino moving out of the team.
Djik said, “I can definitely understand it in some ways but I’m not a very negative person. But obviously, when a lot of players are leaving, when your captain is leaving, your vice-captain is leaving, and at the moment, there are only two incomings. And the way we have been playing, in possession is really good but defensively when you concede goals it’s not as good, I can understand some people having doubts.”
