Everton to move to new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock from 2025-26 season

Everton have confirmed that they will kickstart the 2025-26 season in their new 52,888 capacity stadium, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024 at Bramley-Moore Dock. Earlier, the Toffees had the option to move to the new stadium from the iconic Goodison Park during the 2024-25 campaign, but it won’t be the case due to commercial and logistical reasons, as well as the feedback from their supporters.

Christophe Galtier denies making racist remarks during Nice managerial days

The former French footballer Christophe Galtier has denied making racist remarks at a trial in France in connection with his days managing the club Nice in the country. The 56-year-old, who currently is a manager of Al-Duhail in Qatar, has been accused of saying that his squad had too many black and Muslim players, while encouraging the Muslim players to break their fast in Ramadan, for he could be in line for a three-year prison sentence.

Manchester City to assess Erling Haaland’s foot injury “day by day”

After suffering a foot injury earlier this month, Erling Haaland, the Manchester City striker, has missed the last two matches for the club, and he is going to be unavailable for their next Premier League home game against Crystal Palace. In the press conference, the manager Pep Guardiola addressed the injury issue surrounding Erling Haaland and said, “I'm not worried. It's not a fracture, just stress. He arrived today, he will see the doctors and then we will see. The doctors say we have to take it day by day or week by week and see how he feels.”

Chelsea are reportedly looking to step up their interest to sign Aaron Ramsdale from Arsenal after their No.1 goal-keeper Robert Sanchez is out of action due to a knee injury. As per the report from talkSPORT, Aaron Ramsdale, who is currently out of favour after David Raya took the No. 1 goal-keeper spot, could leave Arsenal in January to get more minutes under his belt but it isn’t guaranteed that the club lets him go.

LeBron James goes down on court after being hit by Rui Hachimura in clash against Spurs

Lakers’ star LeBron James went down on the court after he was inadvertently hit by teammate Rui Hachimura in the clash against San Antonio Spurs. The game saw the Lakers enduring a tough challenge as they went on to defeat their counterparts 129-115. The 17-time champions were earlier trailing by 25 points in the second quarter, and needless to say, it wasn’t an easy outing for the Lakers. They had some of their key players ruled out, which include the likes of Anthony Davis, D'Angelo Russell, Gabe Vincent, Jalen Hood-Schifino, and Cam Reddish. It was the third time that the 38-year-old got hit in the face during the game, after being hit by the Spurs’ players. Luckily, the injuries weren’t severe and the Lakers’ star stayed in the contest. 

Dillon Brooks receives emotional welcome in return to Memphis as Rockets’ player

Dillon Brooks received an emotional welcome at the FedExForum during the clash against home favorites. Fans gave him a standing ovation in his return to Memphis as a member of the Houston Rockets. Not only this, but the hosts paid tribute to their former player with an emotional video during the first quarter of the game. The video featured highlights of the player’s career, to which he reacted emotionally. In addition, the home crowd acknowledged Brook’s contribution to the team with a standing ovation. After the game, the player said, "Felt like I was right back at home. The emotions and everything were there."

Ja Morant reflects on his 25-game suspension ahead of return clash vs Pelicans

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant addressed the media ahead of his return to activity in the clash against the New Orleans Pelicans. Grizzlies, who are currently 6-17 in total, will have Morant making his comeback after being suspended for the first 25 games of the season. Morant was given the suspension by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver for a gun incident in May 2023, which recorded his second suspension in four months. Morant said in a press address, “In the end, I feel like it made me better. I feel like I learned some stuff about myself that I did during that process. Very eye-opening. It kind of gave me a new look on life. How I go about my days. How I carry myself.”

Simona Halep confirms ending relationship with coach Patrick Mouratoglou

Former World No. 1 Simona Halep confirmed breaking relationship with coach Patrick Mouratoglou amid her doping ban. The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) recently announced that Halep was facing suspension due to two separate violations of anti-doping rules. Notably, Halep tested positive for Roxadustat at the 2022 US Open and has been on the sidelines ever since. 

Confirming the news, she said, "It's true that he went out. I wish that he could have done that a little bit earlier. I have stopped working with the academy for a while already. So I always trusted this and my trust is broken a little bit right now and, in the future, I don't know it's gonna be if I can trust again.”

Indian Men’s Hockey Team slumps to Spain 0-1 in 5 Nations Tournament Valencia 2023 

The Indian men’s hockey team slumped to Spain 0-1 in their first match of the 5 Nations Tournament Valencia 2023 against Spain on Friday. The only goal of the game came from Alvaro Iglesias in the 29th minute of the match. The first quarter saw both teams earn a penalty corner each but neither managed to find the back of the net. In the second quarter, Spain forced a penalty corner save from Krishan Pathak. Alvaro Iglesias breached India’s defence and scored the goal, giving his side a lead. Both teams engaged in an intense battle in the third quarter to score the next goal but they were unable to do so. 

India will now lock horns with Belgium in their next clash on December 16.
