Chelsea are set to get scrutinised by football authorities after a report in The Guardian stated that Roman Abramovich, the former owner of the club, used offshore companies to make millions of pounds worth of payments to agents and associates. While the leaked files show that these transactions appeared to be for the benefit of Chelsea, it could have breached financial fair play rules if no official declaration was made for the same.

Anwar El Ghazi takes legal action against former club Mainz for contract termination

Anwar El Ghazi, the Dutch winger, is taking legal action against his former club Mainz for terminating his contract after he made a few posts on social media about the Israel-Palestine conflict. Allgemeine Zeitung, the lawyer for the 28-year-old was quoted as saying about the matter, “I don't see any statement in the latest post that is not covered by freedom of expression,” while not commenting about the matter any further because “it is an ongoing legal proceeding.”

Newcastle United interested in signing Ferran Torres from Barcelona: Reports

The former footballer was in Mumbai on November 15, where he attended India’s CWC’23 semi-final clash against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium. Not only this, but he also spoke about his experience of being in the country. 

Beckham said, "I have been waiting for a long time to come to India. This is my first time here and I was looking forward to it. My work with UNICEF began a long time ago when I was probably 17 years old with Manchester United in Thailand, and I then became a global ambassador in 2015...With UNICEF, we focus on boys and girls, but our main focus is on girls at the moment."

Red Bull F1 racer Max Verstappen slammed the Las Vegas Grand Prix as ‘99% show’ saying that he isn’t looking forward to the show. Verstappen said, "It's 99% show and 1% sporting event. Not a lot of emotions to be honest. I mean I don't like. I just want to always focus on the performance side of things, I don't like all the things around it anyway. Verstappen added, “I know of course there are some places that you know (it is) part of it, but let's say it's not my interest.”

Andrey Rublev injures himself with racket after ATF finals defeat to Carlos Alcaraz

Andrey Rublev injured himself after his 7-5, 6-2 loss to Carlos Alcaraz at the ATP Finals on Wednesday. Rublev repeatedly hit himself with his racket and ended up with a bloodied left knee. Rublev had already slammed his racket to the ground during the opening of the second set. After missing a shot to hand Alcaraz a break, the Russian started beating himself as he walked to his chair and then used a towel to wipe the blood off. Blood continued to trickle down Rublev’s leg while he continued to play. Eventually, he called a trainer for treatment.

Rohan Bopanna becomes oldest player to win match at Nitto ATP Finals

Indian tennis star Rohan Bopanna scripted history by becoming the oldest player to win a match at the Nitto ATP Finals. Bopanna teamed with Matthew Ebden to defeat Rinky Hijikata and Jason Kubler 6-4, 6-4. Bopanna and Ebden will now lock horns with Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski in their final round-robin match on Friday. This is Bopanna’s fourth appearance at the year-end event, while his Australian partner Matthew Ebden is making his debut.
