Alexander Zverev, Boris Becker react to Toni Kroos withdrawing retirement to play for Germany

Toni Kroos announced coming out of retirement to play for Germany’s national squad for the first time since 2021. He will be back for Euro 2024, which is set to be played in June and July. German tennis stars Boris Becker and Alexander Zverev reacted to the announcement. Zverev took to Instagram to post a story with the caption, “Let’s goooo @toni.kr8s.” On the other hand, Becker wrote, “Der Beste ist wieder Zuhause (The best is back home).” 

Mason Greenwood to face fresh decision on future, reveals Sir Jim Ratcliffe

Manchester United forward is set for his evaluation about his future at the club, said Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Greenwood was made available for transfer in August 2022 after United abandoned plans to include him back in the first-team squad. A decision based on facts and other records, is yet to be taken regarding Greenwood’s future. As per some earlier reports, the club wants Greenwood to complete his rehabilitation on loan before securing a permanent move. Greenwood is currently on loan at Getafe.

Former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas heaped praise on Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund and compared him to former hero Ruud van Nisterlooy. He said, “He attacks the box really well, he's really smart. He's kind of a Van Nistelrooy type finisher when he gets his confidence right. I believe he can be a top striker for United in the future." After having been traded for a massive transfer fee, Hojulnd failed to make an impact. He remained scoreless in the first 14 Premier League matches. However, later he went on to score seven goals in the last six league matches.

Bayern Munich star Mathys Tel hinted at leaving Munich after Premier League giants like Chelsea and Manchester United showed interest in him. He was signed by the club last summer, but got to play only 735 minutes under Thomas Tuchel. Recently, his agent Gadiri Camara dropped hints about his possible exit from the club. Camara told Metro, "Sometimes you just have to have the feeling that you are on the same path. We’ll see very soon, but I’m confident. But if not, we have to consider all options because Mathys knows that he is valuable and will be a top player."

Carlos Alcaraz shares update on ankle injury; plans to return in Las Vegas & Indian Wells

The World No. two ranked Carlos Alcaraz was forced to retire after two games after he twisted his right ankle on second point. After his withdrawal, the Spaniard took to social media to share an update on his injury and the timeline of his return. “See you in Las Vegas and Indian Wells!” Alcaraz wrote in a post.

Surreal experience: Araijeet Singh Hundal opens up on playing FIH Pro League

20-year-old Araijeet Singh Hundal is featuring in Indian side at the ongoing FIH Pro League. The Indian forward who ended up losing their tie 2-4 against Netherlands on Wednesday, February 21, featured the Araijeet, who called playing alongside senior players a “learning experience”. “It has been a surreal experience. Competing against top-tier teams such as Netherlands and Australia, receiving encouragement from both seniors and the coach, is delightful, and it has also been a valuable learning experience for me,” Hundal said in the Hockey India release.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Friday, February 23 said that it has dismissed an appeal from Russia against an International Olympic Committee (IOC) suspension. The IOC banned Russian Olympic Committee in October for recognising Olympic councils for Russian-occupied regions of Ukraine.
